앨범 소개

글로벌 걸그룹 BLACKSWAN(블랙스완)의 래퍼 파투 (Fatou)의 믹스테이프 EP 앨범 'Letter 1- Adaeh'가 2023년 12월 8일 오후 6시에 발매된다.
2020년 10월 글로벌 걸그룹 BLACKSWAN(블랙스완)의 래퍼이자 멤버로 데뷔한 파투는 어느덧 데뷔 4년 차 아이돌이다. 이번 믹스테이프 EP 앨범은 본인이 내면적으로 가장 힘들었던 시기에 쓰여진 곡들로 이루어진
앨범으로 그 시절 자신의 내면을 가감 없이 표현하여 파투를 좋아하는 청취자들에게 그녀의 내면과 자아를 거짓 없이 표현하고자 하는 마음으로 만들어진 앨범이다.
이번 앨범의 총괄 프로듀싱에는 알앤비 싱어송라이터이자 음악 프로듀서인 leanon이 참여하였으며 Mixing & Mastering에는 장태인(SEOUL ARCHIVE)가 참여하였다.
화려한 아이돌의 활동과는 다르게 약간 덤덤하지만 본인의 내면을 가감없이 보여주는 파투의 음악세계를 이번 믹스테이프 EP앨범을 통해 청취자들께서도 즐기시길 바란다.

The mixtape EP album 'Letter 1- Adaeh' by rapper Fatou of the global girl group BLACKSWAN will be released on Dec. 8, 2023, at 6pm (KST)
Fatou, who debuted in October 2020 as a rapper and member of the global girl group BLACKSWAN, is already an idol in her fourth year of debut.
This mixed tape EP album consists of songs written during the most difficult times, and it is an album made with the desire to express her true self to listeners who admire her no matter what.
R&B singer-songwriter and music producer lennon participated in the overall production of this album, and 장태인 participated in mixing and mastering.
We hope listeners will enjoy her own music world that is somewhat different from her idol life, which is a bit more calm but shows true herself without any exaggeration, through this mixed tape EP album.

이 앨범은 제 인생에서 거의 모든 것을 포기할 뻔했던 시기에 관하여 이야기합니다. 저는 절망의 밤에 곡들을 썼고, 내일 뜨는 태양 빛을 다시 볼 수 있을지에 대한 확신이 없었습니다.
이 앨범을 발표함으로써 저는 사람들에게 완전히 현실적이고 순수한 나 자신을 보여주고 싶었습니다.
지금도 이 세상에는 저처럼 힘든 순간을 겪고있는 사람들이 있다는 것을 알고 있으며, 저는 그들에게 혼자가 아니라는 것을 말해주고 싶습니다. 우리는 그것을 함께 이겨낼 것 입니다.
This ep talks about a period in my life where I almost gave up on everything.
I wrote it during nights of despair, not knowing if I’ll see the daylight tomorrow.
It’s like a diary, by releasing this I wanted to be completely real with people.
Knowing that there are other people out there going trough the same things I do, I want to let them know that they are not alone. We’ll get through it together.

- The other side
이 곡은 제가 겪었던 내면의 고통을 없앨 줄 몰라 그 방법에 관한 도움이 절실했던 그 밤들을 이야기합니다. 그래서 저는 그 고통에서 탈출하기 위한 유일한 방법으로 술을 마셨습니다.
This track talks about those nights where I was desperate for help, not knowing how to numb the pain. So I started drinking the only way I could escape myself.

-Devil made the deal for me
분노, 슬픔, 혼란만이 제가 이 노래를 설명할 수 있는 유일한 방법입니다. 이 노래는 사람들이 저를 정말 이해하지 못하거나 저에게 무슨 일이 있었는지 정말로 알기 위해 신경 쓰지 않는 것에 대해 이야기합니다.
Anger, sadness, confusion is the only way I can describe this track. It talks about people not really understanding me or caring to really know what’s going on with me.

-Adaeh
제가 이 곡을 쓸 때 갑자기 엄청난 자신감이 폭발했습니다. 그 안에도 분노 또한 있었습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 결국 제가 다시 자신감을 찾을 수 있게 해준 곡입니다.
When I wrote this track I had a burst of confidence all of sudden. There was anger in there too. But all in all it’s a track that helped me gain my confidence back again.

-Me myself and I
이 곡은 모든 고난을 겪은 후 당신을 진정으로 이해하는 유일한 사람은 자신이라는 뜻입니다.
This track talks about after everything the only person that’s really got you is you/yourself.

-Alright
이 곡은 이 앨범의 마지막 곡으로 제가 담담하고 비가 온 후의 햇살처럼 되기를 바랐던 곡입니다 (모든 고난이 지나간 후 찾아오는 평화). 이 곡은 제가 결국 모든건 괜찮아질 것이라는 깨달음을 얻은 후에 쓰게 된 곡입니다.
This is the last track I wanted it to be calm and like a sunshine after rain kind of song. This one I wrote after I knew “ ahh everything’s gonna be ok”.
