Uwenta(유웬타)는 ‘청춘’이라는 뜻의 라틴어다. U로 시작하는 아티스트 본명의 이름과, ‘you went a’의 합성어이기도 하다. 찰나이기에 빛나고 아름답기도 하지만, 그만큼 위태롭고 불안한 ‘청춘’의 감정을 그대로 재현하는 아티스트.

Uwenta(유웬타)의 두 번째 싱글 ‘Fallen Angels’는 왕가위의 [타락천사]라는 영화로부터 영감을 받았다. 말도 안 되는 혼돈 속에서도, 잠시나마 서로에게 집이 되어주는 주인공들이 인상깊었다. 시기 질투나 불안, 분노 등으로 인해 악행을 저지르고 타락한 천사는, 네온 불빛 밤거리를 헤맨다. 사실 그런 천사는, 그저 사랑을 절실히 원했는지 모른다. 그 사랑이 필요했던, 필요한 이들에게 바친다.

'Uwenta' is an artist who is based in Seoul.
'Uwenta' means 'youth' in ratin word. It is also a combination of the name of the artist's real name 'Uiju' that starts with 'U' and the word, 'you went a…'. The artist is making music about 'youth' which is shining and unstable.

Uwenta's second single, "Fallen Angels," draws inspiration from Wong Kar-wai’s film Fallen Angels.
