LOVE IS는 2년 만에 발표하는 온시의 신작으로, 단 두 개의 코드 진행이 반복되며 만들어내는 미묘한 긴장감 위에 색소폰 선율과 대비되는 그녀의 음색이 더해져 쓸쓸하면서도 강렬한 무드를 자아낸다. 리버풀에서 만난 영국 뮤지션들과 함께 음악을 작업하며, 그곳의 날것 그대로의 밴드 음악에서 얻은 영감을 그녀만의 감각으로 풀어냈다. 톨스토이의 『사람은 무엇으로 사는가』에서 영감을 받아, ‘사랑이란 무엇인가’라는 근본적 질문을 탐구하며, 그녀의 음악은 답을 제시하기보다 질문을 던지며 청자에게 사색의 공간을 열어준다.

LOVE IS marks On_poem’s first new release in two years. Built on the repetition of just two chords, the track creates a subtle tension where the raw timbre of her voice contrasts with the mournful yet powerful presence of the saxophone. Collaborating with UK musicians she met in Liverpool, On_poem channels the city’s raw, band-driven energy into her own sound. Inspired by Tolstoy’s What Men Live By, the song delves into the fundamental question of “what is love?” Her music does not provide answers, but instead poses questions, opening a contemplative space for listeners.
