앨범 소개

[DIVA]는 한국 최고의 디바 소향이 오랜 활동 끝에 선보이는 첫번째 정규 앨범이다.

이번 앨범에는 지난 8월 선공개한 90년대 팝 발라드 스타일의 곡 ‘Til You Love Me Again’을 포함하여 브리티시 팝 감성을 느낄 수 있는 ‘Come And Take Me River’, 부드럽고 로맨틱한 선율의 재즈곡 ‘Wonderland In My Dream’, 페트라 (Petra)와 함께한 코지한 느낌의 R&B 트랙 ‘Guardian’, 정통 가스펠을 그녀만의 스타일로 재해석한 ‘Home Run’, 언제 들어도 깊은 울림과 감동을 주는 ‘Amazing Grace’가 새롭게 수록되어 있으며, 기존 발매곡인 ‘Higher’, ‘Higher (Acoustic)과 ‘BLESSING (Feat. YDG)’의 리믹스, 리마스터 버전이 추가되어 리스너들에게 듣는 즐거움을 더한다.

특히 그녀의 라이브 영상과 함께 공개된 타이틀곡 ‘Surrender’는 사람이 사랑할 때 느끼는 고통과 처절함을 전쟁에 빗대어 표현한 곡으로 사랑 앞에 항복할 수밖에 없는 심정을 피아노 선율 위에 소향의 소리로 담아냈다.

이번 앨범을 함께 프로듀싱한 그녀의 작곡팀 C.P.K (채도현, 페트라, 소향)는 그들이 생각하는 삶의 고민과 가치, 위로들을 지난 일년 반에 걸쳐 소향이기에 가능한 다양한 장르의 음악에 모두 녹여냈다. 소향의 첫번째 정규 앨범 [DIVA]를 통해 디바가 들려주는 폭 넓은 감동의 소리를 감상해보시길.
