옛날 옛적에 ‘샤넌 배’라는 가수가 새해를 앞두고 고민에 빠져 있었다.
“내년에는 어떤 목표를 이루어볼까…?”
‘샤넌 배’는 “작년에 적었던 올해 목표가 뭐였지?” 생각하며 아이폰 메모장을 열었다.

1. 맥주 끊기
2. 츄리닝만 입고 돌아다니지 않기
3. 운동하기(매년 적었던)

“진짜 지켜진 게 하나도 없잖아…?”

‘샤넌 배’는 생각했다,
“어차피 지켜지지도 않을 거 고민하고 적으면 뭐 하겠어. 어쩔 수 없다. 그냥 맘대로 살자!”
‘샤넌 배’는 갑자기 컴퓨터를 켜고 노래를 만들기 시작했다.
“솔직히 나만 이런 거 아니잖아?”

Once upon a time, there was a singer named Shannon Bae, who found herself deep in thought as the New Year approached.
“What goals should I achieve next year…?”
She wondered, “What goals did I write down for this year?” and opened the Notes app on her iPhone.

1. Quit drinking beer
2. Stop going out in sweatpants
3. Work out (the one she writes down every year)

“Not a single one of these actually got done…?”

Shannon thought to herself,
“What’s the point of writing these down when I won’t keep them anyway? Forget it. I’ll just live how I want!”
Shannon suddenly turned on her computer and started making a song.
“Honestly, I’m not the only one like this, right?”
