14세의 첼리스트 김주빈은 뉴욕 **줄리아드 예비학교(The Juilliard Pre-College)**와 쵸우트 로즈메리 홀(Choate Rosemary Hall) 고등학교에 재학 중인 차세대 유망주이다. 김주빈은 독일 도자우어 국제 콩쿨(Dotzauer International Competition), 그뤼네발트 국제 콩쿨(Grünewald International Competition) 등 국내외 주요 콩쿠르에서 두각을 나타내며, 일찍이 탁월한 음악성을 인정받았다.

또한 태국 초청 투어를 비롯해 다양한 무대에서 활발한 연주 활동을 이어가고 있으며, 하이페츠 하계 음악 캠프(Heifetz International Music Institute), 모닝사이드 뮤직 브리지(Morningside Music Bridge) 등 세계적인 마스터클래스 프로그램에 참가하며 폭넓은 음악적 경험을 쌓고 있다.

이번 앨범은 **시티필하모니 오케스트라(City Philharmonic Orchestra)**와의 세 번째 협연으로, 앞서 골터만 첼로 협주곡 1번 1악장과 랄로 첼로 협주곡 전악장을 협연한 데 이어, 2025년 8월 21일 여의도 영산아트홀에서 열린 연주의 실황을 담은 라이브 녹음 앨범이다.

At just fourteen years old, cellist William Kim is emerging as one of the most promising young artists of his generation.
He is currently studying at The Juilliard School Pre-College in New York and Choate Rosemary Hall, where he continues to refine his artistry and musical depth.
Kim has received recognition at major international competitions, including the Dotzauer International Competition in Germany and the Grünewald International Competition, demonstrating both technical mastery and mature musical sensitivity beyond his years.
He has also performed in numerous concerts and tours — including an invitational tour in Thailand — and participated in prestigious masterclass programs such as the Heifetz International Music Institute and Morningside Music Bridge, broadening his artistic experience under the guidance of world-renowned mentors.
This album marks his third collaboration with the City Philharmonic Orchestra, following performances of Georg Goltermann’s Cello Concerto No. 1 (1st movement) and Édouard Lalo’s Cello Concerto in D minor (complete).
Recorded live at Yeouido Youngsan Art Hall on August 21, 2025, the performance captures the vivid energy and expressive depth of a rising young cellist in full command of his instrument.
