As his third single following "Kawasaki", Remon Nakanishi will release a new track on March 20, 2026. The song is an ambitious reinterpretation of "Kuroishi Yosare", a traditional Bon Odori song passed down in Kuroishi City, Aomori Prefecture.
The track opens with North African percussion also used in Gnawa music, before Nakanishi's vocals intertwine with double bass and a dry, desert-tinged guitar. After a shift in beat, rumbling, blizzard-like strings emerge, evoking The Beatles, an acknowledged influence of producer/arranger Agatha. Suzumeno Tears add radiant depth to Nakanishi's raw, untamed voice with choral work reminiscent of YES. Engineering was handled by Kohsuke Nakamura, known for his work with Yuta Orisaka and others. The single is part of a project leading up to the release of Nakanishi's second album, with five consecutive monthly singles planned. It stands as a significant statement capturing the artist's ongoing evolution. |
