In the autumn of 2025, I released "The 7th Year Cherry Blossoms," a song born from the tender memories of my eldest son's first steps into elementary school. Since then, the seasons have hurried past. Now, in the spring of 2026, he is already preparing to become a fourth grader.
As children transition from early to upper elementary years, their world expands from the home to the horizon with breathtaking speed. This "2026 Bloom Mix"-reimagined through an intimate ensemble of my own voice, guitar, and piano-is a heartfelt reflection of my perspective as a father, watching my son's maturing silhouette with both pride and a touch of nostalgia.
"Structure: Memories Like Ebbing and Flowing Waves"
The core of this remix lies in its "dynamism"-the deliberate play between sound and silence.
After the initial four-bar guitar arpeggio fades, the first verse drops into a world of only vocals and piano. This represents a father's private sanctuary: those quiet midnight moments when I recall the soft scent of my son as a baby or the trembling excitement of his first steps.
The guitar returns for a brief interlude, only to vanish again in the second verse, returning us to that "sacred silence." This recurring stillness is the heart of this remix. As I watch my son's growing independence as a fourth grader, every surge of joy is met with a wave of bittersweet memory-the realization of how quickly those "little days" are receding. I entrusted those unutterable paternal emotions to this very moment of returning to silence.
"Lyrics: Infinite Joy and Lingering Sorrow"
Between the lines of the lyrics lives a complex parental struggle. Seeing my son step into his new world with his own will is, without question, an "infinite joy." Watching him grow into a young man is the pride of our family and the very hope for our future.
Yet, this joy is always accompanied by a certain "loneliness." The wind of time blows too fast, too vividly. "They grow up in the blink of an eye." This truth carries a weight that tightens the chest, especially in moments of great happiness. Yesterday's "secret" between us becomes his own private thought today. While I celebrate his growth with all my heart, I also feel the fleeting days slipping through my fingers like sand.
The title "Bloom" represents not only the blossoming of a child's talent but also the transience of falling petals-and a father's vow never to forget the radiance of this singular moment.

From the second pre-chorus, the guitar rejoins the arrangement, building in layers of warmth until the final outro. This represents a conscious choice to embrace his "present self" with everything I have and to move toward the future together. As the gentleness of the piano meets the strength of the guitar, the ensemble reaches its peak-a radiant harmony reflecting the years leading up to his fourth grade and the unbreakable bonds of our family.
The final ring of the guitar-a resonance I carefully chose for its lingering tail-is my wordless prayer of gratitude. Gratitude to my son for making me a father. Gratitude to my family for walking this path with me. And gratitude to the light that shines upon him as he stands tall under the 2026 sky.
